B i o g r a p h y

Born in 1976 in France from Belgian/Polish parents, Sehb grew in a strange environnement that was everything but French.

Always in close contact with nature, Sehb quickly developped a deep interest for sounds.

As Pierre Schaeffer once said "Is music whatever you listen to as such". That sentence translates exactly the way Sehb would listen to all these wonderful sounds around him.

At the age of 9, he started composing his first themes on his Dad's acoustic guitar. By the age of 13, it was perfectly clear that he was going to be a musician for the rest of his life.

Sehb first started studying music at the local music school of his village. After a couple of years he studied drums at TAMA Grove School of Music in Cannes. Very creative, his mind quickly turned into improvisation and it became natural to work with contemporary composers like, for example, Franck SMITH. With Franck, Sehb started looking at the drum kit as an orchestral ensemble and it really opened his approach of the instrument.

At the age of 22, Sehb decided to deepen is knowldege of composition and musical writing. He, therefore, entered the Electroacoustic Composition Department in Nice and studied with Michel PASCAL (composition) and Carl FAIA (Real TIme Signal Processing). 3 years later, he joined the Applied Research in Electroacoustics and Computer Music Department at CNSMD of Lyon where he studied for three more years with great people like Denis LORRAIN and Francois ROUX.

Now, Sehb is a multifaceted instrumentalist who loves to juggle with Jazz, Cuban music, Rock, Funk, Pop, Experimental or Orchestral music.

Very flexible, with opened ears, Sehb is THE drummer you need.
